The Environmental Protection Agency has concluded that one of the most commonly used pesticides, a compound sold as Dursban and found in dozens of home-and-garden products, may be more dangerous to people than once believed, the Washington Post reported today.

Scientists to Call for a Ban on Btk

French government scientists have called for a ban on the insecticide Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) after finding that inhaled spores cause lung inflammation, internal bleeding and death in laboratory mice.

California Ordered To Adopt Methyl Bromide Regulations

March 22, 1999

A superior court judge has ordered the State of California to adopt regulations to protect the public from exposure to the fumigant methyl bromide. Judge David A. Garcia ruled in favor of four environmental groups -- Pesticide Action Network, Environmental Working Group, Friends of the Earth and Pesticide Watch -- who filed suit last June against the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR)............
